Bringing Studio Quality to Industry City
The event took place at the vibrant Industry City complex at 220 36th St in Brooklyn, NY. This hub of innovation and creativity was the perfect backdrop for the “Texture on Set” show. Our goal was to seamlessly integrate a high-end video production studio into the event space, providing guests with a place to share their thoughts, experiences, and beauty stories without the distractions of the surrounding crowd.
We provided a fully enclosed Video Confessional Booth designed to dampen ambient sound. Measuring 5′ wide by 5′ long and standing 8′ tall, this enclosure offered the privacy needed for genuine, thoughtful testimonials.
A Fully Custom-Branded Experience
Branding is everything in an activation like this. We ensured that ULTA Beauty’s presence was felt inside and out. The booth featured a custom-printed graphic backdrop inside the enclosure, ensuring every video frame looked polished and on-brand. The exterior was also wrapped in custom branding, turning the physical structure itself into a billboard that attracted attendees from across the room.
To tie it all together digitally, we designed a custom video overlay. This digital border included the brands logo and social handle, making every shared clip instantly recognizable as part of the ULTA Beauty campaign.

- Pro-Grade Audio: Bad audio ruins good video. We implemented a professional audio capture system with options for a boom mic, handheld mic, or wired lavalier, depending on the guest’s preference.
The result? All HD video content that looked like it was shot in a dedicated studio, processed through our professional video booth software.
Seamless Operation and Instant Sharing
An activation is only as good as the team running it. For the Texture on Set show, we provided two professional videographers and technicians. They handled everything from the complete delivery, setup, and breakdown to operating the booth during the unlimited 7-hour shoot. Their presence ensured smooth guest interaction and flawless technical operation.

Our system featured instant video sharing to email and social media, allowing guests to post their professionally edited testimonials immediately. Additionally, all content was hosted on a dedicated micro-site gallery with download and sharing features, extending the life of the event long after the lights went down.
